Autumn intentions


According to a recent survey conducted by eBay Advertising UK, 27% of consumers will be setting fresh intentions this September and will reset over the autumn months. 30% of respondents are reporting that they want to be inspired by brands as they look for ways to reinvent themselves. And 40% are saying they expect to spend more in the next three months than they have done during the previous three. As many offices slowly start t...o reopen for the first time in six months, workers will likely look to refresh their work wardrobes and stationery supplies, or simply explore
the shops they’ve missed whilst stuck at home. 33% of people are reporting that being more active would be their focus. This was closely followed by the aim to eat more healthy food (32%), be more organized (23%), and the overall aim to look theirs best (20%). The most strong ‘back to school’ (or reboot) feeling is among 16-24 years old, i.e. 47% of respondents. But even 10% of 55+ year old have the same plans. So marketers have a great opportunity to inspire and engage shoppers this Autumn.
