According to an article at Techcrunch (), in April Snapchat organized its first Snap Partner Summit. Currently, Snap’s 186 million daily users are much less than the 1 billion daily users across Instagram Stories, Facebook and WhatsApp. But Snap reaches an extremely important age group: 90% of 13–24-year-olds and 75% of 13–34-year-olds in the US. It claims to now reach more of that younger age group than Facebook ...in the US, UK, Canada, France and Australia. Snapchat announced the updating of Lens Studio with augmented reality (AR) features. A better Lens Scan feature makes it easier for users to discover and navigate the lenses and camera search experience. Its new Story Kit will implant Snapchat Stories into other apps later this year. It means that other developers can use Snap’s features to include into their own apps and provide Snap with their capabilities. It allows Snap not to compete with other apps and clones, but to compete with Facebook and provide users, together with partners, with a variety of services. Snapchat’s new Scan augmented reality utility platform has signed up Giphy and Photomath as well as former partners Shazam and Amazon. Snap wants partners to integrate the real thing rather than try to build some half-baked facsimile of Bitmoji. The ‘camera company’ also launched a new multiplayer games platform.
